Abstract
ABSTRACT Kondi, Hendrikus Umbu. 2017. Factors Influencing Behavior of Society on Making Latrine without Septic Tank at RT 03 RW 04 Polehan Subdistrict Blimbing of Malang City. Thesis.S1 Environmental Health Study Program of Widyagama Husada School of Health Malang. Advisors: (1) Zhafirah Sakinah, S.Si., M.KKK, (2) Agus Yohanan, SH., M.KL Based on WHO data in 2010, it was estimated that there were 1.1 billion people or 17% of the world's population still defecate in open areas. From the above data, 81% of the open defecation population, there were 9 countries and Indonesia as the second country with the most open defecation population. The research problem waswether anyfactors influence the behavior of the people of Polehan Subdistrict to the creation of latrines without septic tanks in Blimbing Subdistrict of Malang City. The purpose of research was to find out the factors influencing the behavior of Polehan village society inRt 03 Rw 04 against the manufacture of latrines without septic tanks in Blimbing Subdistrict of Malang city. This study used descriptive analytic study design with cross sectional approach and sampling procedure employed random sampling to get 19 respondents. Data analysis technique used univariate and bivariate multiple regression test (simultaneous test of F and T partial). Based on the results of statistical tests of the study, it was obtained that there was influence and there was no influence between independent variables with the dependent variable that was, the value of F = 100,563 with a significant level test table F SPSS ɑ <( 2,90). Partial T values of knowledge factor (5,329), level of education (2,443), behavior (2,279) andincome (1,177) with significant TPS table T test ɑ< (2,093). The conclusion in this research was internal factorssuch as knowledge, education level and also behavior significantly influence to latrine making without septic tank. The external factor,namely income did not influence the manufacture of latrines without septic tanks at RT 03 RW 04 Polehan Subdistrict of Blimbing Malang.
