Abstract
ABSTRACT Syukran. 2020. The Effect of Knowledge Level on Fire Disaster Preparedness for the Head of Family in RT 01 RW 02, Gadang Village, Sukun District, Malang City. Thesis. S1. Environmental Health Study Program. Widyagama Husada Scholl of Health and Sciences Malang. Advisors: 1. Ike Dian Wahyuni, S. KL., M. KL 2. Beni Hari Susanto, S. KL., M. KL Malang City is one of the areas prone to fire disasters. In 2019 there have been 128 cases of fire in a number of areas in Malang City. According to the data collected, from the five Districts in Malang City, Sukun District was the sub-district most frequently affected by fires amounted 36 cases. Meanwhile, Lowokwaru District had 16 cases, Blimbing District had 23 cases, Klojen District had 18 cases and Kedungkandang District had 35 cases. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of knowledge level on fire disaster preparedness. The research design was a quantitative analytic used cross sectional approach. This study consisted of 77 respondents using random sampling techniques. Analysis of the research results using the chi square test, which is to determine the effect of the knowledge level on fire disaster preparedness on the head of the family. Based on research results indicates that the head of the family who has a good level of knowledge is 88.3% and has a good fire disaster preparedness rate is 68.3%. The results of the bivariate analysis is ρ = 0.02 (ρ < 0.05) showed that there was a significant influence between knowledge and disaster preparedness. It can be concluded that the better the knowledge of the head of the family, the better the fire disaster preparedness.
