Environmental Health Program of Widyagama Husada Health Science College. Advisors : 1) Irfany Rupiwardani. SE., MMRS, 2) Devita Sari. ST., MM Tempe and tofu are soybean processed food products, that are very popular for the people in Indonesia. The problem of tempe and tofu waste pollution that occurs in the river in Surabaya caused by the existence of tempe and tofu industrial waste. Based on the results of a preliminary study, tempe and tofu wastes were discarded in spite of their economic value. This study aimed to determine the relation of knowledge level with tempe and tofu waste utilization behavior. The research method used was a quantitative study with cross sectional approach. The sample used (by taking the entire population) were 26 respondents. The data were analyzed using test Spearman rank. Most of the tempe and tofu industry owners’ knowledge is good and the behavior of the owner of the tempe and tofu industry is also quite good. Based on the results of the analysis test, Spearman Rho obtained a significant value of 0.001 then H1 was received. It can be concluded that there was a significant relationship between knowledge and the behavior of using tempe and tofu waste. So it is recommended to the local government to conduct a training and counseling about waste and how to manage them.
