Abstract
ABSTRACT Wahyudiarto, April Deni. 2023. The Effectiveness of Neem Leaf Extract (Azadirachta Indica Juss) on the Mortality of House Flies (Musca domestica) an RSUD dr. H. Koesnadi Bondowoso. Thesis. S1. Environmental Health Study Program. Widyagama Husada College of Health Sciences. Malang. Advisors: 1. Tiwi Yuniastuti S. Si, M. Kes., 2. Rudy Joegijantoro, dr., MMRS. The results of measuring the density of flies at the TPS (Temporary Storage Place) for domestic waste at RSUD. dr. H. Koesnadi Bondowoso from January to December 2022 got an average of 6-20 flies with a high category. These results may have an impact on the health of the surrounding environment, one of which is the nutrition installation because the flies are able to fly and reach the distance approximately 6-9 km. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of Neem leaf extract (Azadirachta Indica Juss) with various concentrations of 20%, 25%, and 30% against house flies (Musca Domestica) mortality in RSUD. dr. H. Koesnadi Bondowoso. The research method used a purely experimental approach (true experiment) with a Posttest Only Control Group Design, which is a research design that does not use a pretest on samples before treatment. Based on the research conducted, the results obtains in the control group with samples of flies that are not treated with Neem leaf extract were 0 flies which dies with a mortality percentage of 0%, in the 20% dose group the average number of flies which die are 3 with a mortality percentage of 50 %, and at a dose of 25% the average number of flies which die was 4 with a mortality percentage of 66.7%, and at a dose of 30% the average number of flies which die was 5 with a mortality percentage of 83.3%. Data analysis using one-way ANOVA with ɑ = 0.05 was carried out with a follow-up test using a post hoc test. Statistical test results show that there are differences between treatments with a significant value of 0.001 <0.005.
