Background: One of the effects of gadget addiction on early childhood is the disruption of children's growth and development. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that 5-25% of preschool-aged children suffer from developmental disorders. Gadgets make it easier for children to get access to information and technology media, so that children become lazy to move and do activities. They prefer to sit and enjoy the world that is in the gadget. This situation will certainly affect the development of children in terms of physical, motor, psychological and social. Objective: To examine the correlation between the use of gadgets with development in pre-school age children. Methods: The research design used in this study was an observational quantitative analytic with a cross sectional approach. The population used in this study was the students of Paud Al-Islah Malang, totaling 23 children. The sampling was performed by total sampling. The instruments used in this study were the gadget intensity measurement questionnaire and the KPSP questionnaire. The statistical test in this study was chi-square. Result: The results of the research indicated that the respondents whose gadget use in the moderate category were 14 respondents (60.9%) causing the development of doubtful categories as many as 7 respondents (30.4%). The data obtained from the statistical results using the chi-square test showed p-value = (0.000) < (0.05). Conclusion: It can be concluded that there is correlation between the use of gadgets and the development of pre-school age children in Paud Al-Islah Malang.
