Advisors: (1) Wira Daramatasia, dr.,M.Biomed. (2) Dwi Soelistyoningsih, dr., M. Biomed. Introduction: Stigma is a very strong phenomenon that occurs in society and is closely related to the values assigned to various related social identities. Self- acceptance is a condition in which a person has a positive attitude towards himself, acknowledges and accepts the various shortcomings and advantages he has and is able to think positively about the life he is living. Research objective: This study aims to examine the correlation between self- stigma and self-acceptance in PLWHA. Research method: The literature study was obtained from 3 databases, namely science direct, pubmed and google scholar. Search for scientific research articles from 2015-2020 used inclusion and exclusion criteria. Previous studies used cross-sectional, quantitative descriptive, qualitative descriptive and pretest- posttest design. Research results: Based on 10 literatures related to self-stigma and self- acceptance (n = 10), it was found that most of the perceived stigma on PLWHA had a low level of personalized stigma, public attitudes and negative self image, while disclosure concerns had a high level. Meanwhile there is no correlation between knowledge of HIV and AIDS, level of education and media exposure with stigma against PLWHA. Working for the benefit of the family, intervention in the rural environment and workplace, and real social support are needed to minimize selfstigma on PLWHA. Age and education affect perceptions of PLWHA and positive results for PLWHA and CFM proved to be beneficial because PLWHA felt more supported and CFM showed more affection towards vii PLWHA. There is an influence between self-acceptance in PLWHA with emotional intelligence. Positive and negative effects on employee work stress up to 37.8%. Participants who were former FSWs (women sex workers) described in three themes by feeling the inner pressure when they found out that they were HIV positive, motivating themselves and getting support from those closest to them, and accepting and opening up their status as PLWHA. The way PLWHA processes positive results for their illness can affect their involvement in HIV/AIDS treatment and care. Conclusion: Based on the 10 journals that were reviewed, it is indicated that age and education affect the perception of people living with HIV and CFM proved to be useful for showing more compassion towards people living with HIV. There is a correlation between self-acceptance in PLWHA with emotional intelligence. References : 84 references (2015-2020) Keywords : Self-Stigma, Self-Acceptance, PLWHA (People With HIV/AIDS).
