ABSTRACT Adibah, Alfi Maulidiyah Hanan. 2021. The Relationship of Parental Communication Patterns With The Success Of Online Learning In Children During The Covid-19 Pandemic At SDN Mojolangu 4 Malang City. Undergraduate Thesis. Nicky Danur Jayanti, S.ST., M.KM Background: The success of online learning in children is influenced by the role of parents in providing good communication patterns to children and how parents interact with children on a regular basis with children. The pattern of communication is a process that has been designed in advance for continuity, so as to facilitate thinking logically and systematically. Communication patterns can be interpreted as a relationship between two or more in sending and receiving a message in an appropriate way so that the message conveyed can be understood. Research Objectives: The purpose of this study is to analyze parental communication patterns with the success of children's online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at SDN Mojolangu 4 Malang City. Research Methods: This research method uses a quantitative method with a cross sectional approach which is carried out on 55 respondents who have children who are doing online learning at SDN Mojolangu 4 Malang City. The data collection technique was carried out by providing a questionnaire instrument and the value of the child's report card which was then tested using SPSS with thetest type Spearman rank. Research result : of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between communication patterns and the success of online learning in children (p = 0.000). Of the 55 respondents who have moderate communication patterns, 14 people (25,5), 38 people (69.1%) very good and 3 people (5.5%). And from the distribution of communication patterns with online learning success, it shows that children who have a medium category communication pattern with a sufficient level of success are 12 people (85.7%), good as many as 2 people (14.3%), and very good 0 people (0 %). While the communication pattern in the good category with online learning success is enough for 7 people (18.4%), both 28 people (73.7%) and very good 0, while the communication pattern is very good with quite good success 3 people (100%) and very good 0. it can be concluded that the better the Success communication pattern, the higher the success of children's online learning.
