Abstract
SUMMARY Abidin, Virly Ana. 2017. Comprehensive Midwifery Care to Mrs “E” 27 Years Old from Antenatal Care until Family Planning at East Plaosan, Malang City. Final Task. D3 Midwifery Study Program of Widyagama Husada School of Health Malang. Advisors: (1) Waifti Amalia, S.ST, M.Keb (2) Bd. Wenny R, S.Keb The result of the Inter-Census Inhabitants Survey (SUPAS) in 2015 indicated that maternal mortality rate was 305/100.000 live births and the infant mortality rate was 22,31/1.000 live births. One of the efforts to decrease the maternal mortality rate is improving the quality of midwifery care and perform midwifery care comprehensively, hence the midwife can detect early if the client has a patological condition during pregnancy, the labor stage, postpartum, the newborn, and Family Planning in order to handle it properly. The aim of this final task was the student was able to provide the comprehensive midwifery care to Mrs “E”, starting from the third trimester of pregnancy, at the labor stage, postpartum period, the newborn, and Family Planning. The comprehensive midwifery care was conducted in a sustainable manner during pregnancy period, the labor stage, postpartum period, the newborn, and Family Planning. It was carried out in accordance with the standards of comprehensive midwifery care using Varney framework with SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assesment, Management) documentation. The comprehensive midwifery care in this study was conducted during 14 visits, they were 4 visits during pregnancy, 1 visit at the time of labor stage, 2 visits during newborn, 4 visits during postpartum, and 2 visits for Family Planning. The midwifery care was provided to Mrs “E” at East Plaosan, Malang City from March to June 2017. The result of f the comprehensive midwifery care to Mrs “E” indicated from 34 weeks and 3 days gestation until labor, all the process was normal. The labor was assisted by midwives in Soemidyah Ipung midwife practicioner. Postparum and newborn period were also normal. The baby’s weight was 3200 gram, the baby’s height was 49 cm, and APGAR Score was 8-9. Mrs “E” used IUD (Intra Uterine Device) after a placebo as her Family Planning, and she bled more during menstruation, however she was not bothered with these side effects. The conclusion of comprehensive midwifery care was normal. patients are expected to increase her knowledge about pregnancy, the labor stage, postpartum period, the newborn, and Family Planning.
