Abstract
SUMMARY Wahyuni. 2017. Midwifery Care by Continuity of Care (COC) to Mrs. “R” 32 Years Old with Mild Anemia in Muhammadiyah Maternity Hospital, Malang. Final Task. D3 Midwifery Study Program of Widyagama Husada School of Health Malang. Advisors: (1) Yuliyanik, AMd. Keb., S. KM., M. Biomed (2) Nicky Danur Jayanti, S.ST One of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) programs is decreasing Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR). Indonesia has targeted that MMR will reach 306/100.000 live births in 2019 from 346/100.000 live births in 2014; while IMR is targeted to reach 24/1000 live births in 2019 from 32/1000 live births. In ordre to meet the target, comprehensive midwifery care must be provided during pregnancy, labor, postpartum, newborn period and Family Planning program. The implementation of the midwifery care was delivered using Varney method and SOAP documentation. During the care to Mrs”R”, there were 4 visits for pregnancy,1 visit during labor, 4 visits for postpartum, 2 visits for neonatal care and 2 visits for Family Planning that were performed from April to Agust 2017. During midwifery care to Mrs”R”, mild anemia case was found at the pregnancy stage with Hb level was 10,3 gr/dL. There was no further complication during labor, postpartum, newborn and Family Planning. Labor lasted normally within 3 hours from 3 cm until complete dilatation. The baby weight was 2800 grams, while APGAR score was 7-7 without any complication. Postpartum period was normal and Mrs”R” used 3 months injection as contraception for the Family Planning program. It cloud be concluded that there was no discrepancy between theory and practice during midwifery care implementation. Midwives are expected to be able to prevent complication in anemia case and handle it properly.
