Abstract
SUMMARY Trincentari, Maria kristiani. 2017. Comprehensive Midwifery Care to Mrs. ”A” 29 Years Old in Soemidjah, Amd. Keb Midwife Practitioner Malang. Final Task D3 Midwifery Study Program of Widyagama Husada School of Health Malang. Advisors: (1) Waifti Amalia, S.ST. M.Keb (2) Indah DJ, S.ST Based on the result of Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey 2014 Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) was 359 / 100.000 live birth and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) was 32/1000 live birth. One effort to reduce MMR and IMR is by providing comprehensive midwifery care from pregnancy until Family Planning. The purpose of Continuity of Care (COC) is to monitor early life-threatening complications that worsen the condition of mothers and babies from pregnancy to Family Planning. The method used during the case study was the Continuity of Care (COC) starting from collecting data, determining diagnosis, planning, management and documentation in the form of SOAP note. 12 visits were conducted, they were 4 times during pregnancy, 1 time during labor, 4 time during postpartum and 1 time Family Planning visit. Results of the care from pregnancy until Family Planning indicated mother was in physiological state. During the pregnancy visit, the mother complained of mild anemia and swollen feet. The writer gave counseling about nutrition and suggested to lift the feet higher during sleep. Process of labor was smooth and the baby was born normal with 2500 grams weight and 47 cm height, gender is female. During postpartum visit, the mother’s feet was still swollen and breast milk was not fluently produced. The writer then provided counseling about nutrition, suggested to take a rest, not to wear tight corset and prepare the nipple shield. At the neonatal visit the infants was given formula milk for the addition of nutrients. The mother was already gained counseling on exclusive breastfeeding and breastfeeding benefits. On the Family Planning visit the mother chose 3 months injection as contraception and there was no complaint found. The conclusions from case studies from pregnancy to Family P lanning was physiological, although at the time of the labor and postpartum there was a gap between theory and practice. Midwives are expected to provide comprehensive care ranging from pregnancy to Family Planning and implement care in accordance with the standards of midwifery.
