Abstract

ABSTRACT Nair, Katarina. 2019. The Factors Related to Utilization of Prime Drinking Water Zone (ZAMP) of the Student at Junior High School 6 Malang. Thesis. Environmental Health Study Program of Widyagama Husada School of Health Malang. Advisors: 1. Irfany Rupiwardani, SE., MMRS., 2. Misbahul Subhi, S.KM., M.KL. Junior High School 6 Malang is one of the school that has ZAMP in which it cooperates with PDAM Malang to create a free zone of plastic bottled water. Prime Drinking Water Zone (ZAMP) is a special area designed as an area of ready drinking water (potable water) in which it is distributed to the costumers without boiling first. The study aims to determine the factors related to utilization of ZAMP of the student at Junior High School 6 Malang. The research method used was an analytic desain with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used was anccidental sampling in which it obtained 81 respondents of all the students. Based on the results of the study it shows that there are 3 variables which have significant relation with the ZAMP utilization. There are knowledge (p = 0,004 < 0,05), attitude (p = 0,001< 0,05) and social economic (p = 0,046 < 0,05). Two other variables such as age (p = 0,634 > 0,05), gender (p = 0,209 > 0,05) do not have significant relation with the utilization of ZAMP. While the activity variable is unreadable in the chi square result because the value of the activity is constan. So, it is recomended that there will be continous socialization to the students about the utilization of ZAMP at Junior High School 6 Malang.
