Abstract
ABSTRACT Elubeily, Desy C. 2018. Relationship Between Transportation Factors and Secondary Head Injuries in Severe Head Injury Patients at Emergency Room in RSUD Bangil. Thesis. S1 Nursing Science of Widyagama Husada Health Science College. Advisors: (1) Nurma Afiani, S.Kep., Ners., M.Kep. (2) Abdul Qodir, S.Kep., Ners., M.Kep. Background: Severe head injury is the third leading cause of death in all types of injuries associated with death. The main cause is a transportation factor that can cause secondary head injury. Objective: To determine the relationship between transport factors and secondary head injury in patients with severe head injury. Method: The research method used was Observational Analytical with a cross-sectional approach. The sample used were 30 severe head injury patients. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, while the data analysis used the chi-square test. Result: For Transportation category, 11 respondents (36.7%) got good transportation services and 19 respondents (63.3%) got bad transportation, while 7 respondents (23.3%) did not have secondary head injury and 23 respondents (76, 7%) there is a secondary head injury. The results of the analysis obtained p = 0,000 (p <0,05). Conclusion: There is a relationship between transportation factors with secondary head injury in patients with severe head injury in the emergency department of Bangil Hospital.
