Abstract

Infections prevention and control is a method that used to decrease, prevent, and control of healthcare associated infections (HAIs) in healthcare facilities. The problems about HAIs transmission is a challenge that must be faced by every hospital because it can cause an increase of mortality, morbidity, as well as an increase on treatment cost and treatment time. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the infections prevention and control programs using CIPP evaluation model on X hospital, Malang District. This research used a descriptive research design and qualitative approach. The research informants amounted to 10 people whom taken by using purposive sampling based on organizational structure of infections prevention and control team. The instrument used in this research was an interview guidelines and observation guide based on SNARS first edition 2018: accreditation survey sheet. The results of this research show that in evaluation context there is an IPC member who doesn’t know about IPC programs purpose. Input evaluation that consist of human resources: all informants have ever got an IPC training, infrastructure: still not enough for IPC programs, budget: few of informants do not know about budget, IPC policy: all informants have already known about IPC policy. Evaluation process that consist of IPC programs implementation: some have not done well, IPC program monitoring: have not done well, IPC program obstacle: there are some obstacles in the IPC program. Product evaluation is measured by achievement on SNARS first edition 2018: accreditation survey sheet and the data shows that there are some programs that have not done well.
