Abstract

ABSTRACT Febrianita, Dea Adella. 2021. Relationship between Health Literacy and Compliance with Taking Drugs in Patients with Bipolar Disorder during the Covid-19 Pandemic. S1 Nursing Education Study Program STIKES Widyagama Husada Health Sciense College. Supervisor: (1) Ns. Ahmad Guntur Alfianto, S.Kep.M.Kep. (2) Dr. Muntaha, SS., M.Pd.I Background: About 42% of 150 people with bipolar disorder in Indonesia complained about the difficulty of getting drugs commonly consumed during the Covid-19 pandemic and a lack of health literacy about drugs that have the same effect as drugs they usually take so there is no other option if people with bipolar disorder don't get the drug. Research Objectives: The purpose of this study was to describe the adherence to taking medication in bipolar sufferers during the Covid-19 pandemic Research Method: This research method is quantitative with 100 respondents from the Bipolar Care Indonesia community and uses a Medication Adherence Rating Scale (MARS) questionnaire as a measure of the level of respondent compliance. Research Result: The results of the drug adherence indicator showed that 12% had a high drug compliance and 88% had low drug adherence. There was also a high drug perception decision attitude by 4% and a low drug perception decision attitude by 96%. Obtained data on the perception of drug side effects is low by 100%. This shows the low medication adherence to patients with bipolar disorder during the Covid-19 pandemic Keywords: Compliance, Bipolar, Covid-19 References: 39 references (2012-2020)
