Advisors: (1) Misbahul Subhi, S.KM., M.KL (2) Rahma Ika Pratiwi, S.KL Vector borne disease is one of the major health problems in Indonesia. Malaria is one of the few vector borne diseases that have the potential to cause extraordinary events and impact health and economic levels. The purpose of this research was to find out the effect of health education to the level of knowledge and attitude of the society about malaria in Nebe village, Talibura Subdistrict of Sikka Regency. The method used was quasi experiment with Time Series design. The sample in this research were 48 respondents consisting of patient and control group. The sampling technique used was cluster sampling. Data analysis employed paired t-test statistic. Based on the result of paired t-test statistic to the knowledge of patient, it was obtained p value = 0,000 and control p value = 0,000. Since p <0,005, therefore it was concluded that there was influence of health education to the level of public knowledge about malaria. The result of paired t-test statistic on the attitude of the patient indicated p value = 0,002 (p <0,005), hence there was influence of counseling to attitude of patient while the result of paired t-test statistic to attitude of control group revealed p value = 0,112 (p> 0,005), so there was no influence of health education on control attitude. Based on the research, it is suggested that health workers routinely create program of health education in order to improve community knowledge, village motivation, and community participation in malaria related activities.
