Abstract

SUMMARY Utami, Eugenie Indah. 2017. Comprehensive Midwifery Care to Mrs."K" 25 Years Old in Yulis Aktriani,Amd.Keb Midwife Practitioner Malang. Final Task. D3 Midwifery Study Program of WidyagamaHusada School of Health Malang. Advisors : (1)Yuliyanik,Amd.Keb, S.KM, M.Biomed, Pembimbing (2) Ari Christiana,Amd. Keb., S.KM, M.Kes. Health degree of a nation can be seen from the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR). MMR and IMR in Indonesia are still high. The causes of maternal mortality are bleeding, eclampsia and infections. One of the efforts to reduce those rates is conducting comprehensive care covering sustainable care during pregnancy, labor, postpartum, newborn and Family Planning. It is expected that comprehensive care can improve the mother and baby health hence lowering MMR and IMR, in contrast when the care is not sustainably provided since gestation until Family Planning, complication would not likely be detected, so the problems emerged could not be handeld quickly and precisely. The Midwifery care given to Mrs.“K“ was conducted through 12 visits, they were 4 visits during pregnancy, 1 visit during labor, 4 visits during postpartum and 1 visit in Family Planning. The care was documented using SOAP. The result of care given to Mrs.“K“ starting from pregnancy, postpartum, new born, and Family Planning indicated physiological condition. However, there was a problem of 2 loose umbilical cord coil in the process of labor. The baby born was healthy. Baby weight was 2900 gram, baby length was 49 cm and APGAR Score was 7-9. Mrs. “K” preferred 3 months injection as her Family Planning program. Based on the care provided, it was concluded that the continuity of care provided was well achieved. From this midwifery care, the midwives are expected to further improve the standard of care in accordance with midwifery care, so that complications can be detected early to increase the degree of care and reduce maternal mortality rate and infant mortality rate.
